Description

Needle files work in one direction and must be used by filing gently away from you. They should not be used back and forth in a sawing action.

They are an essential tool for detailed and intricate work and are perfect for designing, smoothing, shaping and finishing work on soft metals, steel and steel alloys, wood, plastics, ceramic, polymer clay, glass and stone.

Other questions and our answers

Hello, I'm interested in your Vallorbe needle file set. I just watched your video in these files. Are these files only to be used on soft metals such as gold silver ect? Or can the also be used to file on knife steels, and for gumsmithing? Thanks, Mike

mike Shultz

These are perfectly suitable for your work Mike,  it just so happened that the customer who reviewed these in the video happens to be a jeweller so was using them mainly on softer metals.

The files are 66 HRc on the Rockwell scale and are made from chrome steel so they are very hard.
