Green Silicon Carbide Stone Burrs
These Silicon Carbide Green Stone Burrs give a finer, more detailed finish to your decorative engraving work on glass, stone and gemstones. For glass engravers this will give you the same effect as that of sandblasting, it will leave a less pale finish than a white Arkansas stone, but not as bright a finish as a diamond burr, it will dull down the diamond engraving to a slightly softer tone.
These carbide stones are also excellent for creating texture to wood carvings, ceramic and porcelain, gold, silver and non-ferrous metals. Mounted on a 2.35mm (3.32") shank.
Choose from the following green bur:
- Set of 4: 1 x Ball 3mm, 1 x Ball 5mm, 1 x Flame, 1 x Bullet
- Ball 3mm
- Ball 5mm
- Flame
- Bullet
- Knife Edge
Description
Begin using the drill at a very slow speed and increase, finding your own way and preferred speed. Do not exceed 25,000 RPM.
Green silicon carbide Stone Burrs are mounted onto a 2.35mm shank (3/32"), 120 grit.
These are a must to own alongside your other glass engraving tools. Green silicon carbide is perfect for blocking in, shading and perfecting. Also a great addition to your jewellery making tools set and can be used on metal, stone and ceramics and are ideal for shaping cabochons, bezels and grinding, smoothing and shaping gemstones and precious metals. Also for use in wood carving to achieve a fine texture.

“Best green stones that I can get. Hard and long wearing. Finally found a stone that works for me without disintegrating” - Margot May Designs
"The green stone cuts very smoothly. I used it to obliterate some marks made with a ball diamond. It did this with the greatest of ease making it an excellent stone for modelling" - R.Page. Guild of Glass Engravers
