Due to the diamonds being sintered they are extremely durable. In order to get the best from our Bullet shaped Diamond Sintered Burs, please ensure to maintain their efficiency by occasionally cleaning the sintered burs with a dressing stone or aluminium oxide stick, use with water, let the drill do the work and apply very little pressure.

Other questions and our answers

Hi, firstly thank you so much for all the helpful information I have found on your website! Before I buy, I'd just like to check that I have found the right thing. I make glass beads (COE104) on 4mm mandrels, and want to drill them to increase the size to take a 5mm outside diameter silver tube for coring. I will be using a dremel drill on a stand to do this. It's important to keep the hole absolutely central - is this the right thing for me to do that? I thought the pointy shape would help with centring the bead for drilling. Thanks so much. Emma

Hi Emma, thanks for your kind words, we aim to make the product information as helpful as we can.

Ordinarily, we suggest a bottle neck diamond core drill to drill a hole with a Dremel, however from your description it sounds as though you wish to enlarge a hole rather than create one and therefore, the sintered bullet burr will be ideal. You are correct in thinking that the pointed end will be helpful for this. You will also need an aluminium oxide stick to dress and clean the burr. If you have any more questions please contact us, we're happy to help.
