3mm Tungsten Carbide Burr Round Nose Cylinder Single Cut
- 3mm x 13mm
- 3mm shank (1/8")
- Single cut
These Single cut, 3mm (1/8") Round Nose Cylinder shaped tungsten carbide burrs are to be used for easy removal of material, carving and defining. Comparable to the Dremel 9903 carving bit, and sometimes called ball nose, they are used to make concave cuts and hollow out, and the sides for cutting flat areas and round edges.
For removal of material, cutting in and defining many hard materials, including stainless steel and hardened steel, nonferrous metals, cast iron, metals, stone, ceramic, porcelain, bone, antler, plastics and hard woods.
Use your rotary tool, flexible shaft, micromotor, or die grinder. Cutting speed should not exceed 35,000 RPM.
Single-cut carbide burs are for general-purpose fluting, carving and removing material, leaving you with a slightly coarser finish. In contrast, double-cut tungsten carbide burs are for removing material but leaving you with a finer finish.
Recommended Speeds for the carbide cutter:
- Wood: 20,000-30,000 RPM
- Metals: 15,000-20,000 RPM
- Plastics: 15,000-20,000 RPM
- Glass and ceramics: 25,000-35,000 RPM
