Hi Darcy,
Single cut carbide burrs are best used on stainless steel and hardened steel and will remove material quickly. Double cut will see you through many applications. They tend to be used on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, soft steel, aluminium, wood and plastics. A double cut burr will leave a smoother finish than single cut due to producing smaller chips as they cut away the material. Use for medium-light stock removal, deburring, finishing and cleaning.
I hope this helps, but please ask if you have any further questions.
Warm Regards,
Lucy
