Diamond Slitting Discs
Our diamond slitting discs have a multitude of uses, with diamond both on the periphery and on both faces they can be used for slitting as well as grinding. Use the outside edge of the diamond discs for slitting screw slots in watches and clocks or for cutting through small pieces of tungsten carbide and other hard materials like our carbide rod and carbide gravers. The 2 main faces can be used as a abrasive for sharpening or polishing the edges of hard materials especially when a precise and delicate tool is required.
We offer two thicknesses of diamond discs; one for really thin and fine work and the other for more general all purpose work.
How to use our diamond slitting discs
Our diamond slitting discs need to be run at a relatively slow speed and the addition of water as a coolant will extend their life. However, we understand that water isn't always practical with horology and so they can be used dry. Ensure you use light fingertip pressure and never force the disc onto the work.
